My blood pressure has already dropped dramatically. I began this blog with regular readings in the range of 160/94. (Yes, that's a "normal" range for me on the only BP medicine that my body tolerates.) But, like mentioned previously, I've been down this road before and know many of my own high blood pressure causes.
Within this past week, I've paid close attention to reducing stress levels, have drastically reduced my intake of sugar and refined foods, and have started exercising regularly. And I've watched my blood pressure readings drop every day. Today's reading was a much more comfortable 134/86.
Aerobic walking seems to help a lot. After a brisk one hour walk with my dog Annie on Saturday evening, my blood pressure dropped to 128/79. That was exactly the encouragement I needed to stay on course!
To learn about aerobic walking as a way to reduce high blood pressure, I recommend the book, "Aerobic Walking," available through Amazon.com. Congratulations! It's great to read about a regular person actually finding a way to lower their blood pressure rather than reading an article by an "expert" who doesn't have high blood pressure themselves.
